Paper Clay Workshop with Rebecca Hutchinson

It has been great to have Rebecca Hutchinson in our studio this week. Rebecca is a Professor of Ceramics at the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth. Much of her work is inspired by observation of place--specifically looking at the relationship between human issues and growth within natural systems. Her paper clay workshop on June 15 workshop encompassed both demonstrations and construction where students used a variety of techniques to develop their individual ideas using this innovative sculptural medium.  Check out the photos to view the process.

Thank you Rebecca!

"When in Rome" an Exhibition by Kevin Snipes

Artist Kevin Snipes joined c.r.e.t.a. Rome as artist in residency from mid-May to mid-June. Kevin is a self- proclaimed nomad, finding inspiration for his work everywhere he goes and Rome was no exception.  Kevin ended his stay in Rome with a solo exhibition and artist talk in our Rome studio space.  The exhibition was filled with great friends, food, and best of all, Kevin's stunning work.
