It has been great to have Rebecca Hutchinson in our studio this week. Rebecca is a Professor of Ceramics at the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth. Much of her work is inspired by observation of place--specifically looking at the relationship between human issues and growth within natural systems. Her paper clay workshop on June 15 workshop encompassed both demonstrations and construction where students used a variety of techniques to develop their individual ideas using this innovative sculptural medium.
